How is your weekend? I cannot begin to explain how amazing today’s weather has been. After two weeks of this dreadful heat spell, I was pleasantly surprised that the Universe had given me one of the best Saturday’s ever! To be fair, my Saturday is ALL about the weather. I was so afraid the heatwave turn my room into an oven by 8.30am, and let’s be honest here – Why would you want to get out of bed at 8.30 in the morning on the weekend? That’s just sheer atrocity!
Thankfully, the weather was quite cool, super cloudy and the sunlight was looking it’s palest. Naturally, the weather brought out the chore-nut in me, and I was compelled to get my booty crackin’ on some housework! I helped my mom out with our garden by rakin’ up some leaves into piles, wet and dry, and gave my babies, Mei-Mei and Sasha a nice warm bath! Unfortunately, the bath left my darlin’ Mei Mei a little under the weather. But fret not. She’s still the happy puppy she is, but a little mellow.
I am an excessive baby-talker to my dogs. I talk to them as if they’re my babies and friends making me an overzealous mom. Mei-Mei is an amazing companion. She’s just over 1 ft tall, a canon-ball of fun, playfulness and jaw-dropping cuteness. I mean it. She’s has an infectious personality and wants nothing but your love and toes for lickin’. And your food, too. She does this cute kangaroo-ey hops to get a whiff of your food. Oh, her momma’s a miniature Poodle with a blind eye, and her poppa’s a mongrel. Never seen her pappa, but she’s definitely got his survival skills like alertness and hunting skills. She hunts for insects and small animals, mainly. Rodents, geckos, monitor lizards, snakes, birds sometimes. My baby’s got skillz!
I was totally inspired to move about, and nap. I hardly ever get the chance to enjoy napping in this lovely weather, so a nap was must-do on a chilly Saturday. The rain just came pouring down in full force and I love it! The winds were strong and so was the down-pour.
I think I’m going to enjoy this weather with some reading, Pinning, and brain-storming, and plan what to pack on my trip to Melbourne, Australia in July. Time to rackin’ up for coats and jumpers! If only my boyfriend would be there with me so we could use the cold weather for snuggle-fun. Pout.
But here’s to a great weekend. A productive one – of lists, trips, treats and effortless weekend-looks! You have to love chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream on Saturday afternoons, right? And every other day?
Let’s dance for fear your grace should fall..
