Every once in a while, we’re stuck in that moment where we feel like it’s time to diminish. I don’t know how often you feel this way, but I reckon a little bit of music and a small ounce of dramatic tears might just do the trick.
Music and tears. Oh, what a lethal combination. Just when you’re rubbing off the salty concoction of tears and washed-0ut mascara off your cheeks, you hear the songs that the define the soundtrack of your life. You cry even more when that one line describes exactly what went wrong in your life.
I have these moments quite a bit. There’s nothing wrong with me and no, I am not severely depressed. We stumbled upon a maze once in a while, and that defines who we are. All the mistakes we’ve made, all the emotions we feel, even when it goes on daily, makes us stronger. It also helps a lot to stand in front of your mirror, look yourself in the eye, with tears streaming down your cheeks, and wipe the tears off with a smile.
I can’t quite figure out if that’s a sign of acceptance or survival, but I always giggle and tell myself…
It’ll be okay.
This is to you, ladies and gentlemen. For coming out of your dark days alive. For the moments when your tears got the best of you, then coming to your senses and shoving those harsh memories aside.
